Really, Nature? I’ve heard about New England fall foliage, but couldn’t imagine it could be so beautiful. It’s almost criminal! new_york_fall_foliage

This creepy rock really does look like a head. This is how the Chimney Rock State Park website explains its formation:

A long time ago a huge sheet of rock slid down the mountainside and broke into many pieces, one of which came to rest on this ledge. The facial features of the boulder are due to differential weathering of Gneiss. More resistant parts of the rock form the eyebrow, nose, chin and ear, while softer layers have eroded out, shaping the eye and the mouth.

Charleston, SC is easily one of the cutest cities in the US. We almost made a huge mistake when decided to just drive through it on our last road trip. So glad we spent some time there. Another place to revisit in my list! charleston_sc

One of the shots I took during the helicopter ride over New York City area. This was a regular photo taken with Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L lens and I made it look like a toy miniature in Photoshop during the post-processing. Still haven’t decided if I want the actual tilt shift lens or not.
