Gruyères ♥ Switzerland

April 26, 2010

Gruyères, Switzerland. It was getting dark when we got there and everyone was very hungry. I could snap only few shots while others were picking a place to eat. After a long dinner it was too dark to shoot. You might want to google this place to see some other pictures.
Gruyere_1This cute medieval town actually has ‘no cars’ policy, so we had to park outside of it and walk uphill. Gruyere_2Our restaurant was almost empty: on a rainy day in March there are not very many tourists hanging around. GruyereGruyere_3 Another thing to mention – H.R. Giger, a swiss artist, who won the Oscar for Best Visual Effects in the movie “Alien”, opened an original museum and a bar in this town. The museum was unfortunately closed, but I could snap the bar interior. Doesn’t it look freaky? H.R. Giger Bar

Louvre Museum ♥ Paris

America is very lucky to have its land. Beautiful mountains, valleys, forests, oceans, lakes and canyons – you can find anything you want here. The territory includes most climate types – from polar and subarctic in Alaska to tropical in Florida and Hawaii. I found this map in a gift shop of Smithsonian American Art Museum. It makes me want to travel again… :)
